The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is proposing the construction of a new 57,261 square foot single story building to accommodate the area needs for large and mid sized corporate and private meeting + ballroom space, according to documents submitted to the city of by Kollin Altomare Architects of Long Beach, California.

The plans call for 24,000 SF of ballroom space, 9,000 SF of meeting space and 14,233 SF of pre-function space, 2,658 SF of restrooms, 2,000 SF of warming ware kitchen and 2,458 of BOH areas.

The new building will be constructed on 3.44 acres located to the north of the existing hotel building and will be connected to the existing hotel through an enclosed bridge.

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess exterior planned improvements include approximately 25,000 SF of pre-function patio area, 7,500 SF of meeting room patio area and 35,000 SF of new landscaping.

The resort is also proposing development of an adjacent 3 acres land area into an on-grade parking lot with new landscaping, lighting and accommodations for alternate means of transportation.
